Practicum Project

"Sixth College's Practicum is a mandatory upper-division requirement that engages students in the creative process. To graduate from Sixth College, you must initiate, plan, and execute a Practicum project that connects your classroom-based experiences and knowledge to the outlying community, while at the same time exploring the interplay of culture, art, and technology" (University of California, San Diego, Sixth College).

Culture shock

Just when it is almost time to toilet paper my own house for the project, my father wakes me up at 6 am in the morning.

"You might want to see this...maybe you can use it for your practicum."

I wake up and go outside.
My neighbors car was trashed with toilet paper and their light pole that is between their driveway and doorway was broken.
I went out there with my cell phone recording this for another character named Josh.

It seems as though I am pretty fortunate these days.
Well it's unfortunate that my neighbors car got trashed, but it really represents how American culture is I suppose.

Although high school students trash people's homes when they have a crush...I think this certain incident might have been done through hatred...
Well I am not really sure though because I don't really know what goes through the minds of people who trash someone's house.
What I do know is that it seems a little too extreme.

The more I do this project I am noticing a lot of strange things that humans do.

Then I think to myself how weird people are including myself.

***Update
My neighbors daughter's friend trashed her car out of love.
Okay, now I am amazed with how people interact in American culture.
